TRANSMISSION RATIO’S & GEARING:
Experience has proven that the final drive ratios that works best at the Jug are between 7.3 :1 and 8.0 :1. This is based on a 90 circumference tire. Example - running a 4:88 diff with a 1.68 2nd gear Saginaw three speed will pull about 6000 rpm at the end of the straight.
